  1. “Same Sum” by Peter Happel Christian https:\/\/www.conveyor.studio\/shop\/p\/samesum<\/a><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    I saw this zine\/book at the PMABF2022 and instantly fell in love with it. This photobook is an exploration of the “observation, chance, and the everyday magic of ordinary life” of Peter’s life. Apparently the title is inspired by an Italo Calvino essay where experiences and meanings are fluid and flexible. Like the meaning of the title, Same Sum<\/em> is not fixed in its sequencing. There is a certain fluidity to it where you can mix and max photographs yourself in a variety of combinations, setting a different experience for you each time. The book’s playful demeanor is what initially drew me to it and its interactivity is what kept me at the table for a full fifteen minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2. “099\/100” by Neta Bomani: https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CK41dg3FYnV\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This is one of my favorites of Bomani’s 100 zines<\/em>. Although she’s created 100 very experimental zines, this has got to be the most out-of-the-box for me. Although the intention here for Bomani is to get a permanent version of the tattoo, this is just a temporary drawing. Makes me think about other ways to contextualize this concept of content being documented, then transformed into a permanent medium, erasing the original form. The term “wearable” takes on a whole new meaning!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    3. Fortune Telling Experimental Publishing<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    For our group project, our primary idea is to make a fortune-telling zine poster. We want to create sort of a field guide (or alphabet) interactive poster of GenZ lingo.
