ARDUINO 3: Talking to Processing

03A – TALKING TO PROCESSING.

You can also send serial data from Arduino sensors to processing. This allows you to connect physical things to the internet in different ways.

Just like sending data to the serial monitor, we can send serial data to a Processing sketch running on your computer. This means you can have sensors detecting things (like motion, heat, sound, light levels etc and have them animate or trigger things in Processing.)

Do the tutorial (as linked below) to learn how to do this. In this tutorial you will connect a potentiometer and an Arduino to Processing. The potentiometer in your kit looks like this

You can experiment by replacing the final circuit with the circuit in 02C to make a processing sketch react to light levels in the room also.
